Meet Kara

Kara is mostly known for her 13 year career as one of the best CrossFit athletes in the world. Despite living a highly calculated life of a professional athlete, Kara has always had a passion for a holistic way of living and eating in a way that supports a life outside of sport.

It all started when she was a young girl and her mum had cancer. They turned to nutrition in a time that they needed it the most and it was then that Kara started to understand the concept that food is medicine. Her single mum also worked as a chef, so she while she was always working at meal times Kara would cook at home. When she finished high school she studied a Bachelor of Health Science majoring in Nutritional Medicine. With only just over a semester until graduating she qualified for the CrossFit Games, left the degree behind, and the rest is history…until now. Although she wasn’t working in that space she still spent over a decade practically applying nutritional principles to not only perform her best, but to also nurture her hormones and overall wellness in the process.

Fast forward to becoming a mum where she realised that not only is nutrition so incredibly important for developing humans, but that being a parent is one of the best reasons you will ever have to take care of yourself.

Meet Matty

Matty grew up in outback Queensland and worked on rural cattle stations up until the age of 19. He joined the Royal Australian Army and served as an infantry soldier being deployed to the Solomon Islands and Afghanistan for 6 years. Upon leaving Matty became a firefighter with the Queensland Fire Department where he works and lives on the gold coast.

Throughout his tenure in these roles Matty has learnt the value of fitting in food where you can and making the food you choose count.

Matty loves a good coffee, a cheeky beer and pizza.

Meet Rachael

Rachael always had a passion for health and wellness, which led her down the path of nutrition. Her journey took an unexpected turn when she discovered CrossFit. What started as a casual interest quickly became an obsession, and she never looked back. By 2014, she was coaching CrossFit, helping others unlock their potential.

As the years went by, Rachael’s path evolved again—this time, leading her back to the town she grew up in, where she became a firefighter.

Through all of these roles, she found that the true key to thriving wasn’t just about the physical challenge or the career she pursued, but the power of focusing on nutrition and lifestyle. That balance, she discovered, gave her the energy, strength, and clarity to show up as her best self every day whether it be for work or her family.

Whether in the gym, on the job, or chasing her little boy around, Rachael’s commitment to fueling her body and mind became the spark that carries her through it all.
